Electroplated Diamond Discs w/ Backing Plates

Our electroplated diamond discs make the perfect tool for the commercial cutter or serious hobbyist. They perform both rough and fine grinding on faceting material and provide general lapidary grinding when precision is required. These diamonddiscs are used on our Slant Cabber and All-U-Need lap machines along with all other lap machines that accept a 1/2" arbor.

Each diamond disc comes with a top plate which uses top grade diamond powder that is nickel electroplated uniformly onto a 1mm thick steel plate, resulting in the highest quality lap available on the market. That top plate is then bonded to a precision ground 3/8" thick plastic composite backing plate. These laps also have a long life span because they are made of steel and are well-suited for more heavy-duty grinding and polishing.

We have 6" and 8" sizes available with a wide range of different grits. Each diamond disc has a 1/2" arbor hole. Please note that these are the diamond discs that INCLUDE the backing plate. It comes bonded, no additional backing plate is necessary.
