How To Use Midas Acid Dip
Steps to rinse, acid dip, and rinse again are called for before and after most baths. Following these steps leaves the workpiece clean, which aids in adhesion and also ensures that residual acids or cyanide are removed. This avoids combining harmful chemicals and makes the workpiece safer to handle upon completion of plating.
Solution Preparation: Add warm deionized or distilled water to make one quart of solution.
Step 1
Pour amount needed for use into Pyrex® beaker.
Step 2
Use at room temperature.
Step 3
Water-rinse workpiece to remove solutions from previous bath.
Step 4
Immerse workpiece in acid dip and agitate so the solution has access to recessed areas.
Step 5
Water-rinse workpiece thoroughly again before continuing to next step.
